Beau Monde MMXXII
(In Regency Era jargon-Beau Monde was a fashionable word that meant fashionable people)
Inspired by the Regency Era’; A period ruled by romance, elegance and etiquette, architecture and design, modernized to 2022.
June 2022
A majestic three storey Queen Anne Federation residence called Birdwood Estate, nestled in the Margaret River Region sets the location scene.
The Residence offers original charm with high ceilings and traditional bay windows but is Modernized by new furnishings drawing inspiration from rustic interiors of a Soho Farmhouse in the English Countryside.
The detailed architecture and furnishings of the master bedroom suite ooze period style charm with a grand four poster bed, brick fireplace and beautiful arched window looking out to the resident gardens below. Our beautiful muse Katie, has a stunning natural appearance portraying old world elegance, to further enhance her features, the make-up application look consisted of, a simple, fresh youthful natural complexion with a pretty eye, touch of blush and complimenting lip for a classic pretty pink finish by Bec Scott Makeup. Taking a modern twist to fairytale Regency Core’ elegant long waves formed the hairstyling by Hair by Imogen Rose, with opulent ’Georgia’ Swarovski pearl hairpins & head wear by Christie Bridal.
Our hero wedding gown from NOA Bridal Studio was Aries by designer Varca Bridal. 150 yards of tulle make up a deeply extravagant cloud of a skirt, out of which the bodice rises, statuesque, sparkling with delicate beads and sequins. She is a ballgown beyond ballgowns.
To emphasis luxury and glamour, we added a lot of accessories with formal tulle gloves, a fur felt Boater style hat in ‘Bluebird Blue’ with embroidered lace and custom tulle train by Milliner Van Box Head, sculpted ivory silk organza bow hairclip, Ivory silk headband by Milliner Christie Bridal, statement Red Jimmy Choo velvet pumps and Mode and Affaire Merlot Faux fur coat, Shiraz Odessa feather Bag and a Shiraz Ostrich Feather Boleroto.
For the grandeur Reception Dining room, we convert the lounge area which featured exposed timber beams, limestone walls and beautiful soaring windows with soft furnishings. To create a noble table, white table linen set with modern clear Napoléon chairs from Diamond Event Co were used to fit in with the era style, with two bridal belle ghost chairs taking centre stage at the head of the table.
Our main colour scheme of French/dusty blue was showcased throughout the styling concept design by The Wedding Concept, featuring South West Event Studio; Sky blue linen napkins in a Silver beaded napkin ring, Noritake Hampshire Platinum fine China plate setting in Ice Blue, along with Gilded 19th century style Royal Albert cutlery and glassware of Romance gold rimmed coupes, Bohemia Crystal Bedford old-fashioned tumblers and lavish wine goblets.
La Myrtle Style House layered monochrome green foliage undertones along with an abundance of Seasonal blooms of Peonies and Stock in bright pastel tones for the floral design, to create a luscious growing garden down the centre and front of the dining table.
What’s a grand Reception without cake? Sweet Stylin custom designed a two-tier Madagascan vanilla berry Kitsch love heart buttercake, filled with layers of lemon curd and covered in detailed French blue Swiss meringue buttercream icing.
The final location was the Ceremony setting at the Potting Shed. We loved the exterior character of the shed and incorporated the entrance doors as our ‘arbour’. For the floral design La Myrtle Style House blended the existing creeper vine along with textured green foliage and pastel coloured Stock flowers to accentuate a lush natural growing garden around the shed base. Clear Napoléon chairs were set along both sides of the aisle.
Katies ceremony attire from NOA Bridal Studio, was a beautiful layered ensemble designed by Harriette Gordon of the original bias-cut signature premium silk 1.5 natural gown with gathered silk satin trim around a square cut front and low scooped back, paired with the 3.5A Silk Organza blouse and 3.9 billowy draped Mikado Silk Detachable Bow.
A simple, minimal bouquet of vibrant pink peonies wrapped in hand died blue silk ribbon and a Holly Barker Milliner Valentina textured bridal veil adorned with hundreds of tulle squares handstitched along the edge, adds the final soft whimsical touch to the desired look.
The Groom Cat is dressed in a YD Australia Liston Check Blazer, Country Road white collared shirt & MJ Bale Black Chinos.
Goldie Is dressed by Mini Mode Shop in the Vanilla Poppy Frill dress & Willow Swan princess bag in Snow.

Whisper Of Winter
Ephemeral Winter Solstice wedding
June 2020
A high-end winter luxx wedding shoot to showcase a marriage on the shortest day of the year, honouring the connection to the life cycle of earth and the celebration of the return of light - or the life-giving sun.
At the deepest point of winter this shoot embodies all that is beautiful about this time of year. The venue architectural design of earthy stone wall paneling, and high ceiling cathedral style window peak allowed a feel to the space of a church wedding. The ceremony design was then created to emphasizes the celebration of the moon goddess’s energy and radiating divine light with a stark white half-moon arbour, Black pendant lighting and silver reflective mirror prisms. Styling décor of dark grey limestone rocks reflect the moons rocky texture, whist Acrylic Napoleon chairs become winter icicles. The botanical styling features soft grasses at the end of their life cycle along with earthy tones of fungus, bare branches, browning leaves, and ghost mushrooms that glow and bring light
A simplistic make up style keeping the face clean with a pop of bold berry for the lips was incorporated to keep the drama of Stunning bridal gowns featuring billowing tulle ruffles and detailed sleeves and a silk satin sweetheart corset bodice with silk pleats and detachable flutter sleeves as the dramatic feature.
A simple chic bun with soft wispiness around the face, head pieces of Swarovski jeweled crystal star encrusted combs and crowns, mixed crystal and glass bead earrings and cropped and long sleeve fur jackets formalized the accessories. A Wispy wild and romantic bouquet of muted silver grey with white crisp florals; create a magical soft snow, ice queen vibe for our bride. Our Groom complements in a MJ Bale Navy Stirling Deacon Cotton-twill Jacket with, navy Pocket square and McQueen tobacco chino pants.
Our Pre-reception setting features a stunning earthy stone fireplace, Ivory velvet French Chaise, Marble service bar and high bar tables with Ghost stools. Clear Cylinder and silver lanterns lit with candles honour the sun within the winter darkness. Shiny gold opulent elements in the diamond coffee table, agate tray, bar glassware and amber glass pendants act like subtle sun rays as the winter season begins to shift. Botanical styling on the mantle features birch branches, bare branches with lichen, bleached Amaranthus and ferns. The overall placement of the botanicals from creeping bare branch to the cascading Amaranthus enlightens the subtle winter shift from the darkness of mid-winter towards the emergence of life when the ice melts and darkness starts to fade into the awakening of the sun. Styling décor of stag horn, birch, and bare branch along with modern stationery of arched terrazzo neutral & matte almond bar menu’s compliment the minimalistic design.
The design of the cake combined clean modern lines with lots of raw textures- the stone, marble and rose quartz featured throughout the rest of the styling the main inspiration. The delicate sails were intended to represent the last whips of wintery light. An outfit change for the bride incorporated the Juno dress from designer Alca Line Bride, with accessories of exotic fur coats and rugs for warmth.
Reception- The arch of the earthy stretch tent is like a rising dawn sun. The guest banquet table styling design features a high-end finish of natural Italian stone napkins and table linens, modern Ghost chairs, Plate setting of Relic Natural main plate and Roam grey marbled entrée plate, silver redwood cutlery, Bohemia Wellington crystal glassware finished with a round mushroom marble menu with modern fonts and soft grey and taupe tones.
The banquet bridal table is the stand-alone feature offering a strong connection to nature there is a large focus on natural stones like crystal, marble, and quartz carefully intwined with earthy bracken and fungi. A minimalistic arched terrazzo guest place card/ menu designed with modern fonts and neutral matte stone card compliments the earthy colour palate. Chandelier lighting clusters of Large upturned pinnacle deep moody Smoke quartz dripping jeweled crystal, vintage Cognac and modern Palace crystal teardrop, round, dome represent raindrops glistening in the morning catching the sunlight
A wild and large botanical forest installation features dried and fresh foliage of Cypress, rosemary, holly and ivy in soft muted tones with earthy browns and greys, soft greens and natural accents finished with metallic touches-symbolic of the end of winter, change in the seasons and the emergence of new life with sun light. Sensual plants associated with the winter solstice celebration have been featured. Rosemary-herb of the sun-, Holly - for good fortune, Silver Birch - for birth and regeneration. Ivy - to bind lovers together in marriage and faithfulness and Mistletoe - for kissing under!

September 2019
This shoot is about combining the luxury of city life with the infinite delicate beauty of the natural environment. An interesting juxtaposition combining simple natural botanical elements with the gold and shiny opulent elements of the city. The concept was born from the idea of wanting to capture that brief moment when a bare branch bursts into bloom or a bulb erupts from the soil. Our vision is to connect and educate couples planning weddings to incorporate floral styling that reflects the season.
THE SPACE
The spaces ooze historical character and charm. Set in the chic West End of Fremantle resides the historical Tolley and Co building at Pakenham Street.
445m2 top floor, huge open space, Karri timber columns, high ceiling, exposed brick section, phenomenal natural light in a clean open plan layout.
Colour Palette - A neutral nude and soft pastel colour palette with accents of soft blushes and soft pinks form the feature flowers Blossoms/ Tulips and touches of luxurious white and gold elements. A fusion which represents the need for humans to take a look beyond the glass windows and connect with the seasons.
Florals – Bare painted pastel branches will be woven into a simple yet striking wall installation which will features as a ceremony backdrop. It will feature with large bold Saucer Magnolia and soft spring blossoms. The stark beauty of bare branches will be contrasted with the soft and feminine blooms. Woven soft pastel painted sticks creating abstract nests for the glass cylinders with submerged blooms.
Table styling - banquet table with white linen and monochromatic white crockery and details with elegant white porcelain plates, light pink silk napkins, gold cutlery and cut crystal glassware. Paired right back to create a minimal effect and allow the botanicals to be the showcase. Tall ghost candle pillar clusters to create dramatic height and compliment Paris ghost chairs.
Lighting of 1x neon white heart on feature wall and hanging clusters of Clear Series Gold Tones Pendants.
